Shop reports have been fairly quiet. The cod bite off the south shore seems to be getting a bit better and seem the better option over the Montauk boats at the moment, but that could change overnight. The bait reports have been good on the cod grounds just need the water temps to continue to drop a bit more. The doggies need to move off a bit to allow the cod a shot at your baits. Have seen the birds diving in the bay west of the Ponquogue bridge lately, should be some herring under those birds. Shop is open on a limited schedule for the next couple of weeks, heading south for some warm temps. Call ahead if you plan on heading over, Saturdays we'll be open for sure.
