Shinnecock Area Report 10/3/10

Shinnecock Bay/Inlet/Ocean
The weather is finally cooperating with the bass and temps are falling as we needed. The inlet and Ponquogue bridge are both producing fish but not in great numbers. We’ll have to wait and see what the fall temps produce. Best bet is live bait. The local wrecks and reef are holding sea bass and blackfish, just need a little cooperation from Mother Nature to get out of the inlet.

Beaches/Shore Bound
The beaches are beginning to show a little more action. Blues and bass can be found both east and west of the inlet. The inlet has rewarded anglers using bucktails with some keeper size bass.
