Flounder reports have been scarce this week, best bets are the canals of Quogue and Shinnecock. The blues are here and can be found along the beaches, Shinnecock canal, the 105 bridge in Flanders and the Peconics. Blues up to 12lbs are ravaging the huge schools of bunker and are taking anything you throw at them. Bass can be found mixed in with the blues but you have to get through them to get to the bass below. Ponquogue bridge has been holding some bass as well. Try bunker chunks for the bass and blues or live lining if you can snag a few. First reports of fluke made it back to the shop, a mix of shorts and a few keepers out in front of the inlet, as reported by those fishing the boats with RSA permits.
